Description<\/strong>: Butterk\u00e4se is a semi-hard cheese which was first produced in 1927 in Germany. It is highly popular in Germany and Austria where it’s also known as “ladies cheese”. Butterk\u00e4se (literally butter cheese) is very popular among children due to its clear buttery texture but does not have any butter. The product takes 45 to 60 days to mature and contains nearly 15 times the nutrients in fresh cow milk including calcium as phosphorus as well as various vitamins such as A, B, E, D, and K.<\/p>\n

Usage<\/strong>: Given its buttery texture, Butterk\u00e4se is perfect for cold or hot sandwiches for children. It can be served cold for breakfast or afternoon tea. The cheese melts very quickly which makes it a great ingredient for many hot meals. It can be served with beef, chicken, fish, breakfast, omelets, soups, and salads as well as both hot and cold sandwiches.
